Project Dream-Chaser: an ambitious civilian colonisation program that will take a hundred thousand men, women and children on a hundred ships far beyond the borders of the Federation in order to set up their own, independant colony. The convoy of people-carrying Constegas, cargo vessels, hospital ships, repair barges, tugs, privateers, and many more wish to travel alone across the vast expanses of space to a planet six months from the borders of the Federation, where they will begin a new life.
Starfleet has been asked to provide an escort for the convey on behalf of the Federation Council, and despite protests from the colonists a task group of ships has been put together in order to provide an escort to the massive fleet of vessels. Three Steamrunner-class escorts, an Intrepid-class pathfinder, a Sabre-class repair ship, and finally the heavy guns: the USS Merlin NCC-84401, an Excalibur-class starship. With a new ship and a new crew Captain Jemm must travel beyond the final frontier into the unknown, where danger may lurk behind every star and Death can be in a thousand forms and more. And yet somewhere out there is Paradise and the chance to start anew what has become old and stale. It is up to the crew of the Merlin to defend that Nirvanna - will you join us? We stand between victory and defeat, life and death: we stand together alongside our crewmates through thick and thin. This crew is our family, this ship our home. No-one gets left behind.
